The 17-18th of September welcomes Australia's Tour Professionals to the isolated, raw coastline of the Mornington Peninsula for the Shednine Vic Pro proudly presented by Shednine Core Store & Peninsula Hot Springa and supported by Rebel Sport & RAW, Baha Taco Joint, Conroys Bakery, Surfing Victoria and Mornington Peninsula Bodyboard Club.

This 4 Star event fits into the Rebel Sport Pro Tour schedule in perfect unison as the Knights Beach Pro follows directly after on September 24, making the transition of Southern State events smooth and easy for all touring professionals.

The Shednine Vic Pro will be held in conjunction with the Victorian State Titles, giving Victorian's a clear path to make their way from club level and through into the State Titles, showing their skills in the crisp beach-breaks and potentially snaring a spot in the Victorian Team for the RAW Nationals in October in Kiama.

For Victoria to be hosting an event of this nature is testament to how well the sport of bodyboarding is currently doing in the State. Victoria has the opportunity to field a full State team to head on up and compete against Australia's best at Kiama, the pinnacle of amateur bodyboarding in Australasia.

With ongoing support from Surfing Victoria the event will run over the weekend of the 17-18th of September, at (either Gunna/Rye/Port/whereverhas a bank) with the peaky rip-bowls providing the platform for high scores and consistent high level riding. This is a fully mobile event with the choice of Gunnamatta, Rye Ocean Beach or Portsea Ocean Beach. Local word is these beach breaks have been dishing up peaky heaving sand slabs all winter and will be the perfect platform for big scores and spectacular bodyboarding during September. Check out the attached teaser by local filmer Chase Burns for a sneak peak of what these desolate rip bowls have to offer!

Proud presenting sponsor Peninsula Hot Springs (the first natural hot springs & day spa centre in Victoria) has invited all competing bodyboarders to its heated mineral pools and sauna facilities to help with recuperation and recovery after a big day of competing. The therapeutic benefits of bathing in this type of thermal mineral spring are said to include the alleviation of bruising, breaks, stiffness of the shoulders, fatigue and muscular complaints.

The festivities will continue well into the night after theShednine Vic Pro concludes, with the hugely popular local nightspot “Baha Taco Joint” the official venue for the presentations and celebrations, with live music all throughout the evening. Conroys Bakery will also proudly support the weekend, situated walking distance from the waves Conroys will be the place to get your post-surf feed!

To make things even easier for you the crew at Melbourne Peninsula Apartments (0359856559 / melbournepeninsula.com/apartments) , Offshore Retreat (Travis 0416086024 / stayz.com.au/22314) and Kanasta Caravan Park Rye (Sonya 0359852638) have all jumped on board offering some amazing deals for competitors.
