The Soldiers Beach Pro

As you may've heard South Africa's Mark McCarthy won the Soldiers Beach Pro on the Central Coast last weekend.

Mark McCarthy aka Danny Archer from Blood Diamonds fame used his small-wave ARS attack to take down Jake Stone (2nd), Sam Bennett (3rd) and Mitch Rawlins (4th) in the final.

In nailing two second placings Jake moves into the coveted Number One position on the Rebel Sport Australasia Pro Tour and if he continues with his current form he'll be a hard man to catch. Jake also managed to surf a perfect heat, receiving a score of 20 out of 20 for his semi final; a rare feat in professional sport indeed.

Port Mac's Damian King again displayed his versatility by winning the Pro DK Division as he set about catching up with the rest of the touring pros after he missed the first comp at D'Bah.

Nicole Flemming narrowly beat Lauren Knowles in the Finals of the Women's Division.
