Here are my iPhone photos from the past few weeks. I'll upload another batch in the next few days to keep you entertained.
I have arrived in Arica and scored some fun waves with a few mates out. This is where I'll be staying in Arica, resting and watching movies.
Below is a picture of a Chiliean vulture :)
The first leg of the comp is over and I finished equal 9th. I'm happy with 9th, but hoping to better that result in Arica for the El Gringo Championship.
Here are some photos from of my Chiliana Schroulp Session ;)
I've just arrived in Chile and I surf in the event tomorrow. So far the waves have been small, but fun, and tomorrow looks like it is going to be big. The guns will be blazing in the comp! Here's the setup for the comp, with a giant mountain in the background. Log onto the World Tour and watch the comp - it'll be sick!
Boys and girls,
It's been a while since I last blogged....
I've been in WA doing comps and coming home to fun waves most days, then Teams Challenge which was followed straight by the Port Mac Pro. In between doing all that jazz I found myself sliding into a nice B-Wall funnel. (Thanks to Josh Tabone for the shot).
Created with assistance from Charlie Holt and Samuel Rutherford. With additional footage from Josh Tabone and Daniel Baker.
Hope you enjoy...
I have been on the rock for two weeks now. I've had sick waves and the comp was amazing. I got some sick waves in the comp. Now im going home early because the comp has finished. Here are a few photos from the trip. My two weeks on The Rock have been fun, but now it's time to go home, relax and surf.
Mike Stewart, going for it with double inverts and the best fadebacks in the game. Get the notepad out boys and girls!
This clip is so amazing, flawless surfing, even to this day.
I love Portugal.
Here are some photos from my recent trip for the European leg of the world tour comps.
Repping a xxl hoodie that I got off Even's dad in LA :).
Just in the Canary Island's, relaxing and winding down after a big and stressful year. Just got some footage and photos to show you from my extreme fishing advetures from Puerto Rico.
I was winding my lure in one afternoon and thought I got a hit, but it was just the lure bouncing on the surface. I pulled the rod hard to hook the fish, but to my surprise this silver lure came flying stright past me and into my arm. I looked and was stunned to see both the prongs sticking into my arm. Then I yelled to my fellow fishing buddy at the time, Kingy, "I'm in big shit, King." Then went to the house to sort my problem out.
So I took two Endone (pain killers) and went to the hospital to get it removed. It was a pretty funny (and annoying) afternoon, but it's a pretty cool story in the end.
This, people, is how not to fish!
You'll get a laugh out of this - the girls are the funniest!
Well the Puerto Rico leg is over...
I went shit in the comp, so I'm going to the Azores comp to try and win some pride back and get first in that event.
Here are some photos from Puerto Rico with the boys and my dad.
Hardballz, chopping onion and doing the bread in the mouth trick.
Dad's first reef scars. He was too deep on a 6-footer and got rolled. ;)
Dad and I soaking up the sun.
Counting the days down until the new season of Californication arrives.
Hey boys and girls,
I have put this flashback of Todd De Graff up from the Seek and Destroy. De Graff's from Port Macquarie and is my all-time favourite bodyboarder.
Sit back and enjoy this flashback...long live the king!
Chase and I rugged up in the shocking Port Mac weather watching the Reunion Pro...
Aussie! Aussie! Aussie! Oi! Oi! Oi...
It's been a while since my last blog. I have been busy celebrating everything I can think of haha!
The day after I got home to Australia my big brother (Richard) tied the knot. There's a bit of a crazy story to how I just made it home. To cut a long story cut short, I had a bit of a blinder the night before in Madrid and slept through my alarm (that I fogot to set), then just made it to check-in by the skin of my balls. then spent the next 30 hours travelling hungover, but I got there and that's all that matters.
I would of been in shit(!) if I missed the most important flight I think I have had to catch haha.
I got home, got dressed up and was there for my brother's special day. It was one of the best day's ever and I was glad I was there.
Here's a couple of photos of the Russell family and the best man. Above is myself, Richie, Dad and Dane, and below is Richie, our Nan and I.
