My board’s template is good because it’s got curves. I’ve always ridden a slightly rounder board as I’ve found it works better for me in most conditions. It’s not ground-breaking in terms of dimensions, but it’s proven to work and that’s all I want.
A big difference from last year’s board is a new set of contours. This year I wanted to be take control of exactly how my boards were made, right through to the finish. That being said, I designed the contours on what I feel is most functional. Contours started out as a meaningful feature of a board and I think somewhere along the way they strayed away from that. I shaved off a bit of foam from the front where your hands goes and continued that through to the rail where your back hand rests. Other than that the materials are a lot stronger in all models, making the boards far more versatile in different water temps.
This board’s suited to anyone that wants to rip, basically. Rarely do I get to surf the same conditions every day so the boards I ride have to be good for all types of bodyboarding. I do have a soft spot for airs though, so I guess more specifically those riders that are keen to hit ramps.
Everyone should buy this board, because if there were anything else better, I’d already be riding it!
