I’ve finally found the perfect combination of a streamlined shape, that’s great for speed, mixed with the right curve for manoeuvrability. It’s what I’ve been trying to find for the last six or eight years and it’s a relief to be able to finally jump on one board that performs well in all conditions, without any funny business.
This year’s board has a fair few new features. It’s got new deck contours. These (contours) were something that I slow to catch on to, but now I’ve tried them, I won’t go back. Secondly, we’re using a new core called the Paradox Cell core, it’s an amazing invention. The core combines all the best properties from all the other cores on the market. Its’ dense enough that won’t absorb water, but still has the pop of a PP core. It also holds it’s memory really well too.
There’s a bit of a difference between the frozen waters of Chile and the tropical warmth of Bali, but I’ve been riding my Freedom Six core board from Queensland to South Oz and it hasn’t let me down yet. As far as riding styles, this board suits
riders who like tight, snappy pocket surfing, but still want speed so they can race to hit a big bowl.You’re blowing it if you buy any other board than mine.
