Do you Want to get Sponsored by Manta?!

Manta Bodyboards Logo

It's pretty hard to get ahead in this bodyboarding business. You can spend year's getting up for the early every day, videoing every session, competeting tirelessly in your local club comps and yet all you'll end up with is may be a discount on a board and a set of fin tethers.

Luckily for you Brendon Backshall has had a word to his sponsors, Manta, about this and they're giving you the chance of a lifetime...a year's sponsorship on the Manta Pro Team to ride alongside Mr Backshall and the rest of the guys!

That's not all. You'll even have the chance to go on a Riptide exclusive photo trip with the team - an easy path to potential bodyboarding stardom if you ask us.

All you have to do is download the Brendon Backshall Teenage Riot entry form and submit it by March 29th. Then you head down to Mandurah Wedge (Pyramids Beach) on the 3rd-4th of April (Easter holidays) and shred (and you have to be under the age of 20 - this is for the groms). You may also want to bring along your fans, I mean friends as there'll be heaps of other prizes up for grabs from Manta, I Am None and Reeflex Wetsuits.

And because the bodyboarding community are incredibly giving souls all money raised on the day will go to the charity organisations Jaago and Beyond Blue. Worthy causes, we're sure you'll agree.

Make sure you get involved in the Brendon Backshall Teenage Riot today!

The full entry form for both divisons latest can be accessed here.

*Update*

"When I was a really young grom, just 16 years-old, I got my first sponsorship deal with Funkshen Bodyboards and started getting flowed some free boards. I was stoked and the first person that I told about my new deal was my mum.

I was 17 when I first signed with Manta and I remember being really happy to be riding for a big Australia board company. Now, four years on, and with another three years locked-in, I couldn't be any happier.

For the Teenage Riot I'd love to see the young kids having a great time and surfing really well. Unfortunately, I don't have too much advice for the comp another than that I hope that they give it their best as it's a huge oppurtunity for the kids to get a headstart with a solid sponsorship and it'll definitely help them on their way to reaching their bodyboarding goals." - Brendon Backshall.
