Jake Sharp wins the first DKS of '09 *Updated*

North Boomerang Beach (near Forster) provided the creme de la creme of Australia's (and two international riders) DK talent with 3-4ft, slightly inconsistent, beachie peaks for the first comp of the annual DK Sessions series on the weekend.

Clayton Pickworth, organiser of these wild DK shenanigans, was incredibly stoked with how the whole weekend went down, reporting that Paul Roach went nuts in the Expression Session and he also hung around to add a rad atmosphere to the day. Jake Sharp was a worthy victor of the event, surfing the final loaded up on painkillers due to a back strain he suffered in the first round when a floater went awry. Jake took down Justin Welsh, Matt Klimowicz and Keegan Cronin in the final.

Next weekend will see Sessions move to Port Mac, with special guest Gal Larar from Israel joining Japan's Ken Nakatsugawa as the two international competitors for the event. Get along to Port for a fun day with all the best in DK.
