2011 David ‘Goose’ Gosby Bodyboarding Memorial
Dedicated to the memory of David ‘Goose’ Gosby and all those that have been associated with Port Macquarie Bodyboarding Association (PMBA) and are no longer with us including: Steve Sonter, Nathan Sallustio, Michael Branch, Benny Hall, John Epplestun, Ben Turner & Andrew Turnham.

The contest is a very important event for the locals, as many of the the boys being remembered have been so involved in the bodyboarding community throughout Port Macquarie.

Trophies for first through to fourth in each division and a competition T-shirt and prize bag for all competitors. The prize bag filled with goods kindly donated by: Turbo Surf Designs, InnerVision, Surf n Skate, Saltwater Wine Surf Shops, Rebel Sports, Origin Energy and Aussie Home Loans.

PMBA would like to thank all of our volunteers, judges, talliers, canteen operators and particularly the major sponsors for the event: Turbo Bodyboards and Sundowner Breakwall Tourist Park.

PMBA would also like to thank Jenni Hopkins (Goose’s Mother) and Gordon Brown (Goose’s Grandfather) for presenting the trophies and their very generous donation of $1000 from each to assist PMBA with running this event and for additional equipment for the club.

Rasta King was awarded the Perpetual Trophy (as donated by David Gosby’s Brother, Andrew, for the best U/16 performer). He was also awarded a Turbo bodyboard for his troubles, as was each of the other winners of each division.

A great day was had by all, and the results were as follows:
