ANOTHER FOUR BODYBOARDERS CONFIRMED ON THE SAME DAY THAT THE ANNOUNCED THE SPECIAL TRIALS ARE ANNOUNCED
Gastão Entrudo, António Cardoso, Ricardo Faustino and João André “Magoito” are four athletes that are going to be at Nazaré, from October 12th to November 1st 2011.
Sumol Nazaré Special Edition 2011 presents today four more athletes that will take part in this fifth edition of the competition. Gastão Entrudo, one of the two Portuguese present in the IBA’s Grand Slam Series, António Cardoso, considered as one of the great hopes of the Portuguese bodyboard, Ricardo Faustino and João André “Magoito”, two of the great Portuguese big riders, are the new four athletes confirmed for the event in Praia do Norte.

Sumol Nazaré Special Edition 2011 website presents the profile of the eight athletes already confirmed for the competition, as well as reveals their expectations and what they think about the event and Praia do Norte.
Incorporated in the International Bodyboard Association (IBA) calendar, this year Special Edition waiting period will be from October 12th to November 1st.
Registration is open for the Special Trials
But Sumol Nazaré Special Edition 2011 has more news: the SPECIAL TRIALS, an action with the Portuguese Bodyboard Association seal, which is addressed to all national and international athletes who want to try to assure a place at the Sumol Nazaré Special Edition 2011.
Registration for the Special Trials is open and the regulation can be found at Sumol Nazaré Special Edition 2011 website (www.specialedition.com.pt). Of the signed bodyboarders, 12 will be chosen to participate in the Trials, at October 2nd, and the announcement of the 12 elected will happen at September 27th. Only one of these athletes can attend the Sumol Nazaré Special Edition 2011.
Paulo Costa, president of the Portuguese Bodyboard Association, considers that “This is a fantastic initiative, because it allows more athletes to struggle for a place in the Special Edition. It’s an intelligent way to make this event more democratic. The Special Trials will help the event to grow and gain even more notoriety. In the last edition, the public could choose an athlete, which created a great expectation; this year, the battle will be in the sea and it all achieves another dimension. We support this initiative 100 percent.”
