New Rider Announcement for Sumol Special Edition

PAULO COSTA, FILIPE FERREIRA, TIAGO MOITA SILVA AND DINO CARMO CONFIRMED FOR SUMOL NAZARÉ SPECIAL EDITION 2011
New four athletes that are going to be present at Nazaré, from October 12th to November 1st 201.

After Jaime Jesus, Gonçalo “Pitaça” Campos, Fábio “Marreta” Laureano, Luís “Porkito” Pereira, Gastão Entrudo, António Cardoso, Ricardo Faustino and João André “Magoito”, Sumol Nazaré Special Edition 2011 presents today new four athletes taking part at this fifth edition of the competition.

Paulo Costa, winner of the first Special Edition and one of the most popular bodyboarders in Portugal, Filipe “Fifi” Ferreira, one of the mostly audacious Portuguese bodyboarders and one who mostly travels around the world looking for good and big waves, Tiago Moita Silva, an athlete with several awards, among them he’s the winner of the 2010 Bodyboard Open (this award assured him direct admittance for the Sumol Nazaré Special Edition 2011), and Dino Carmo, six times junior National Champion and a big promise of the lusitanian bodyboard, are now in the list of the athletes competing.

Sumol Nazaré Special Edition 2011 website (specialedition.com.pt) presents the profile of the 12 athletes already confirmed for the competition, as well as reveals their expectations and what they think about the event and Praia do Norte.

Every week will be released the profile of the national and international bodyboarders participating in this fifth edition of the event, facing Nazaré’s waves.

Incorporated in the International Bodyboard Association (IBA) calendar, this year Special Edition waiting period will be from October 12th to November 1st.

Registration for SPECIAL TRIALS still open.
Registration for SPECIAL TRIALS, an action with the Portuguese Bodyboard Association seal, is still open. That’s a competition addressed to all national and international athletes who want to try to guarantee a place at the Sumol Nazaré Special Edition 2011.

Of the signed bodyboarders, 12 will be chosen to participate in the Trials, at October 2nd, and to compete for the only place available. The announcement of the 12 elected will happen at September 27th. Regulation can be found at Sumol Nazaré Special Edition 2011 website (specialedition.com.pt).
