Gold Coast Bodyboard Club is on the cusp of yet another exciting year of competition Bodyboarding. GCBC as its more commonly known as, has been operational for many years now and doesn’t look like slowing down. The club is a non-profit organization that aims to enable all age & skill levels to experience competition at its very best. The club meets once a month at various beaches across the Gold Coast & Northern NSW, however calls the infamous Duranbah Beach home.
With the first round set to hit it off early March: the club is about to host its Annual Sign-On Days. Each Sign-On Day will take place at Bodyboarders Surf Co at 5/152 Griffith Street Coolangatta, Saturday 4th & Saturday 11th of February from 10am-2pm.
This year welcomes a number of great changes to the club in order solely to benefit its members, such as: great prizes up for grabs for each division at every round, reduced membership fee of $100 (this fee covers all affiliation & insurance costs as well as entry to the club's nine events) and a number of new club sponsors with amazing discounts & offers set exclusively for club members.
The club has also welcomes aboard Surfing Queensland as the Governing Body, which opens a number of different coaching & training options for the clubs members.
The seasonal calendar has also introduced a Club Development Day in March for all club members to further their skills as a rider, as well as development their competition strategies. The club also hosts a number of social events throughout the year including Movie Nights & Supervised Surf Trips.
