The Riptide Forum and Sportscamera Australia are proud to present the “THE GREAT BLOG BONANZA” competition, with first prize taking home a GoPro Surf HERO WIDE waterproof camera valued at $310!

Your “BLOG” is to be a digital logbook (Bodyboarding Logbook, get it?) of all your bodyboarding adventures over a five-week period. You can document the trials and tribulations of finding waves, the moves you landed each session and the most hectic wipeouts you endured in the water. Your BLOG can feature video, pictures, audio and witty writing. Document whatever you want, but just remember the most creative BLOG taking home the grand prize.

Entries for the competition are open now, with the competition closing at midnight on the 31st of October 2009. So started documenting all your bodyboarding tales!

The Rules.

Entry is open to any bodyboarder around the world, as the fine people from Sportscamera Australia will send the GoPro Surf camera to wherever you reside.

Only Riptide Forum members can enter. If you’re not already a member, sign up now!

One entry per person. (Entry submissions under different I.D.s and IP addresses will be disqualified.)

The Bodyboarding Logbook (BLOG) has to be your own experiences.

Just updating. Some of the entrants are choosing to create online blogs to submit as their entry, which is great. One of our boogers in Queensland, Jaymie Jones, has created an online Surfers diary, specifically for those of us who love the ocean, at http://surfersdiary.com/ This site was only launched on the 2nd of October, so is super fresh. There is no expectation for entrants to use this at all, simply giving a heads up on a site specific to our boog riding interest designed by one of our own. There are features of the site more expansive than a standard blog site and so may help with your creativity.

For a profile on Surfers diary, go to viewtopic.php?f=5&t=3380

Good Times,

Doc

A big Congratulations to Meaksy http://craigmeakin.blogspot.com on winning the GoPro camera competition!

sickest of all is that some of you fellas are continuing your blog writings - and that is what it is all about, the stoke of riding.

Special mention goes to Miiichael http://theliquidtemptation.blogspot.com/, the judges had you level pegging with Meaksy and it was an incredibly close decision.

But that's not all....

The kind people at Sports Camera read through the blogs and have asked off their own bat to award KC bodyboarder a prize we've called "The Stoke Award" for his committed, frothing writing and great attitude. Hit me up with your postal details young Casey and Sportscamera will send this to you:
http://www.sportscamera.com.au/nomad-pa ... p-304.html

Sick attitude from Sportscamera I have to say, and so solid to have a company behind us boogers.

One more thing is that comp entrant Chris Junker http://hushconcord.blogspot.com/ is receiving a Riptide 20 anniversary Tee shirt for being the first international entrant in the comp. chris you have a pm to send your postal details and Tee-shirt size through.

Many thanks to our judges, especially the international lads who came on board:
Hayden "Goose" Parsons (NZ), Gareth White and Kelly Footit from South Africa's Sixty40 mag

It's been a great comp and word from Sportscamera is that we may be able to run another competition next year. Again thanks to the people there for their great support.

Stoked,

Doc
