Ha ha did you see the 7pm project having a laugh at his little 'love bite', ha ha shark attacks are becoming so commonly reported that if you dont loose some serious claret you get told to go back and get bitten properly :D

According to this data, people from NSW are the most likely to be mistaken as fish food. Not sure if its because they swim funny or whether NSW folk have a particular smell that sharks like.... or perhaps the sharks just arent too bright in that neck of the woods :P

1700-2008 Australia's Confirmed Unprovoked Shark Attacks (N=358) http://www.flmnh.ufl.edu/fish/sharks/st ... /mapau.htm

Region .......... Total Attacks - Fatal Attacks - LastFatality
New South Wales.......148............. 62 ......... 2008
Queensland ............105 ............ 36 ..........2006
Western Australia..... 38 .............. 9 ........... 2005
South Australia ........29 .............14 ...........2005
Victoria ................ 26 .............. 7.............1970
Tasmania ............. 8 ................ 4.............1993
Northern Territory ... 2................ 2.............1938
AUSTRALIA ...........358 .............134........... 2008

if you look at the sharks strike rate then the most effective killing sharks come from

Region ......... ....... Fatality rate (%)
Northern Territory ....... 100
Tasmania ....... ......... 50
South Australia .......... 48
New South Wales .......... 42
Queensland ............... 34
Victoria ..................... 26
Western Australia........ 24
AUSTRALIA ............. 37

yeah NSW has lots of breeding grounds, lots of seal colonies too hahahaha

lots of river mouths

and since we stopped commercial fishing in the harbour the number of bullsharks has risen!

I've been spotting some giant tuna lately and last night there were 3 penguins off my local and a whole flock of seaguls eating fish HAHAHA

Still CRAZY low chances of getting taken by one.

For some reason though I freaked out mid session at Poo Ants on the weekend just paddled real quick out to the line up with Noble. Hate it when you get those paranoid attacks

Yeah swoods thats half why i put it up, such low chances of getting taken, and if you do get bitten you have a better chance than half of dying from it.

I had a mini freak last surf i had too haha paddled into a large deep rip and was surrounded by salmon, not the best place to be in a known sharky spot :D
