As someone else said PC's are far more affordable/better if you know a bit about computers. Mac's are solid reliable but way overpriced. I was close to buying one until I realized I could save $1000 on a computer with better specs. Really the only thing that appeals to me about apple is the looks and their app market, but I can live without that stuff.

Steve Jobs made technology easy. My 90 year old grandfather and 4 year old nephew can use an iPad as well as I do.
I had this made huge post typed up last night about how annoying apple fanboi's are and how with a bit of know-how PC's are infinite times better.. but then my iPhone wouldn't let me post it. I'M ON TO YOU GHOST STEVE!

I think that actually puts you in the minority Scotty. Jobs wasn't a particularly 'under the radar' type of operator - he was front and centre more than just about any other CEO I can think of...
