Hey guys and girls, Im moving over to perth in about 3 to 4 weeks. Dose anyone know some good rental car places? Im looking for a flat around the scarborough/freemantel area, are they nice places to live. Are the waves any good at the moment? any one keen to go for a surf when I get there.

Theres a heap, Budget, Thrifty, Bayswater, Euuropcar etc but I believe Bayswater are the cheapest. You might want to look into it but I'm sure this is the company everyone uses when they come over.

its 3 or so hours to the south west from perth for waves like north point, the box etc.
and its an hour or so drive south to the wedge from perth. i wont tell you where it is or people will whinge about us "exposing there secret spot". but its easy enough to find.

have you actually ever been to half of the spots you claim to know so much about?

theres been a big thing, with locals blowing up at photogs shooting iluka, and trying to keep it on the downlow, it's already too late when comptee knows about it.

There's no way the wedge is a secret spot, or even anything close.

Pro tip: The wedge is basically right on the south side of the dawesville cut.

MANDURAH WEDGE EXPOSED!!

There's still a heap of secret spots in WA, too.. just not really a great deal around margaret river, that's all. As soon as you get above Lancelin there's only a few spots that ever get a bit crowded.

Watch out, the bazillion 12yr old locals will hunt you down for exposing there spot and burn you everytime you go there..... oh wait, they do that already.

I'm so glad I got to surf it years ago pre tension exposure. Only a handfull of guys would go there regularly then.

Yeah, it would've been sweet to have known about it back then. Having said that though, I prefer my long barrelling waves to something short and wedgey. I sometimes think I should just take up longboarding.

guess its the only upside of getting old....
surfing locals, chickens, claytons, big rock, penguins, rotto box and pyramids before all the groms came along.
checking fluidzone for new pics and spots to search for...
trigg was empty when u paddled out at dark....
i got pissed off when 4 dudes would come out during the week.

those were the days.

least its made us chase new spots, better spots.

besides now i can just mow u lil buggers down muhahahahaha
