Hey jetz, just checked the forum then, would of been keen for a wave, next time for sure.

Ended up surfing Grinders early, to be honest got a bit skunked, real clean but too small and inconsistent, not enough swell getting in.

Then this arvo surfed a secret spot me and a stand-up mate found about a month ago. Real fun beachie.
Thing I love is no one surfs there, fun for a boog. Nice and hollow shorey's. Just around the corner of the same spot is a left point which was fun today too which we were on for a bit.
Loving this weather too.

No worries. Reliable Torquay, surfed the north point way out, as I'm a goofy rider. Was ok, good size 2-3 ft with the odd screamer around 4-5. Long waits between sets. Sucked. Took the easy option and just played around on the shore break by the club. Waters warming up! Good to be back in the swing of chasing the swell.

Had a couple of surfs lately. Nothing special.

Went and hit up that spot we found Friday arvo, was kind of fun despite the 50km onshore's which managed to give me a headcold (damn).
And this afternoon surfed Juc main peak, pretty fat and gutless but had a bit of size so wasn't too bad.
Water is starting to get so much warmer now!

One of the guy's in this vid is from Juc. So I thought I'd post it in the Vic thread.
Really cool video.

Surfed Boings this morning, was lush. Very clean 2-3 footers. Warm weather only down side too many in the line up. Don't usually surf the weekend, now I know why!

what part of the vicco coast is boings? crowds at 13th weren't too bad - but it will get worse over summer - weekend warriors like me either surf on sat or sun or miss out - the only thing that annoyed me at 13th was loudspeaker canned music - maybe a comp or something later on.

Boings is 13th Derwent. About halfway down. It's the break to the right of Signy's if you're looking out to the ocean.
I surfed Juc just before coz I had to work till 5 today. Small but surprisingly kind of fun because it was so clean and warm.

hahha - cheers savage - i was thinking it was some semi secret spot - was clean all along 13th - i am sure boings would have been fun.

I wasn't sure there would be enough swell at torquay but 13th was a bit bigger than i expected - plus thought i'd take the chance to go somewhere different - were there many out at jan juc??

Yeah pretty packed Derwent, those pre-summer crowds are starting to fill in now.
We actually were down the beach past the club house to avoid the crowd a bit, but even still there were about 8 out on the same peak where we were, including those stupid surf ski things that can catch them 50 meters out from where they are breaking then burn you and go straight haha
