Dont have a gopro myself, but im pretty sure a lot of dudes use the single pin board mount, not too sure about helmet mounts though

speaking from lots and lots of experience and trial and error, helmet cam + mount or pole cam from board is the only way to get decent/usable footage.

Just a random question, would a casual BMX bike helmet do?

Yeah i figured as much looking into the single bolt board mount however to share the recording between myself and my mate i think helmet mount is going to be my best option looking into brackets now

^^ Scotty, I don't think it matters what sort of helmet but I may be wrong.

I really do want a board mount that is extended with a pole past my legs. Not sure what sort of footage it would bring but it would be awesome and super deep.

I think my back strap is a cheap and the very least annoyeeing mount you can have.

digging up on the ye'old thread, had a go pro HD2 for a few months now, just saw the video on sports camera of doc doing the single pin mount - what do you guys reckon, that or helmet or back strap - more so don't wanna loose it after taking a closeout etc

cheers bois!

The single pin is good and strong. But it depends if you want that angle or not. best angles are from further back like the back strap or the pole mount on the back outside of the board so it looks over the rider. For simplicity though the single pin is fine. Dont bother with the surfer mount on the plate mount thingy that originally came with the surf pack, it will break in no time
