looking back, why doesn't anyone rock grip any more when we all wax the top corners of our slick? is it just cos it looks pretty damn gay?

Wax can be removed and replaced, grip can be a hassle.

i tend to just wax the areas where my elbows sit with a little bit under my stomach anyway. Top corners of the board? May sound crazy but you can grip with your hands pretty well.

pretty sure a slick by its nature is slipppery when wet. bit wax in the top corners, everyone does it. i don't wax stomach area, i just wash the slippery coating off the deck of a new board, never have an issue with that. bit of wax around the elbow though.

yep, bit of wax under the stomach, and elbows, that was it. Had my Turbo XLR8 back then.
I'm worried about getting into the sea, a japanese whaling ship might have a go at me!
