I have just heard the tragic news that Eddie Solomon has passed away.

R.I.P Eddie, you will be missed. Thoughts go out to his young family and friends.

Just heard the shocking news aswell, was just about to post a thread too.
RIP Eddie. Such a tragic loss for the bodyboarding world today. Hope your shredding in heaven. Such an inspirational guy, I've been following his progress since he first got his diagnosis, and he was so positive and full of hope the whole time. Thoughts go out to his family, especially his young son and wife.

I heard the sad news this morning and am shocked. I always thought "he's Eddie Solomon, he will beat it!"

My thoughts are with Tamara and his son and their families.

R.I.P, I only ever knew him as a charger who only had the best intentions for bodyboarding.
Will surely be missed.

Such a charger this guy was, pure nutball at times, especially at Wedge and chopes. My thoughts go out to his family and friends. Cancer is a c$%t of a disease. R.I.P Eddie

I met Eddie a long time ago back in Cape Town. He was such a good bloke. Sad news and all our thoughts go to his family.

What about bodyboardings own "Eddie" in memory?
Maybe follow similar lines to surfing's Eddie and have it somewhere hectic in pumping waves?

Definitely a great idea. He was such a massive influence on the whole bodyboarding scene, especially in the USA.
It would be sick to see it held at somewhere like Waimea Shorey, very much like the Eddie. Or The Wedge. 2 places he charged :twisted:
