Im more excited about the extra 15 days than that swell. Surely we cant go this long swell-less.

I wonder, is there any reason why we cant reschedule? Maybe another alt period say in october?
Looking back at october we have had some awesome swells...
The competitors that can do it, great.. If not then they are replaced..
I've spoken with a fair few and they are cool with the idea..
The machinations however?... Leon?
Regards, Rich.

May? Is there any serious IBA comps in May?

I'm not suggesting a new time slot for the comp in general but a rescheduling of this comp if it does not come off.
This would be a one off, emergency rescheduling so that no one looses out.
As far as I know, October is a valid window to do this as the Euro tour is finished.

If no comp runs this year, then this in my opinion would be a real tragedy..
All alternatives must be explored imho.

Meanwhile the IBA Mexico event is absolutely going off. Ironic how the Shark Island comp has been lauded by you all as the 'be all and end all'. Totally failed to deliver anything in a realistic comp window.. Wish the Mex event had live net coverage.

Japan, I have a feeling you don't know what irony means, which in itself is actually rather ironic.

Just had a shit run of swell up the east coast of australia.
We've had a few bits and pieces but nothing like it should have been!

So is tomorrow's swell completely out of the question?
I know its from the south, but looking to be pretty solid. Suppose its gonna be wonky and onshore as hell..

That swell tomorrow will be third reef wash throughs, and will miss the island mostly.
The competitors would be spending the entire heat duck diving..
But, never say never.. a little east swing and things may change.

Wednesday lunchtime is looking pretty prime though.

true that Rich, the call will be made around 8am tomorrow for on or off, if there is enough East in it and it's on, the comp will start at 12.00.

Will all contestants be there? I read Hardly flew back to WA last week somewhere. Do they have replacement riders ready to step up?

In good news looks like the swell has SLOWLY begun to swing from originally SW. Lets hope it keeps on going. Robson what do you think Wed will be like? I cant really find anything anywhere suggesting the size will hang around long enough
