Hey man
"Ounce" was made by a local lad called Pete. Pete has been bodyboarding for as long as I have been alive and whilst growing up was in a few bands and was really influenced by music, the rock scene and the associated fashion.
He made Ounce cause he wanted some shirts that tried to capture that.
They are pretty 'trippy' which kinda rolls well with the whole 'Ounce' thing.
While there is some sick old school looking shirts i really like this one

The sickest thing about Pete is he still surfs the point everyday and knows all the local stand up guys that hate booging. He gives the kids that may froth that bit too hard heaps of waves so we were stoked when he said he wanted to supply us exclusively.
He also uses all the money he makes to "sponsor" his mates. He has sponsored a cricket team in Vico, bought supplies for his mates bands and he sponsors a local DK kid (who also rides for BBS) called Tom.
The shirts are not tight fit man. They are loose kinda thing like if you would be a Large in Plastic People you could wear a medium in Ounce. Hope that helps

Went in last weekend and picked up Grow Up (finally haha) and i think issue #30 of Movement to get it up over $50 so I could get an entry Got told about the VS factory tour and boards bit getting added to the comp, it's insane! Such awesome prizes for a $50 entry, people should definately get down to BBS and drop some coin to get a chance to win this.

As for the comp, we will try and out do ourselves every year and have bigger and better prizes for the kids (and big kids). It's a win/win situation.
The owners of BBS just really want to set up a good shop which gives back to the sport as much as they can. I think they achieve this. Thorpe and crew also have a place to hang out and work when the surf is bad, and they give people like me who don't want to get a boring job some love too (and Eazy E).
