Beyond stoked that Kainoa is in as a wildcard for both Prone and DK

Massive congrats to Lilly Pollard and Steph Pettersen (residing on the Goldy for the last few years) are in the women's as wildcards as well.

Insane. Jase Finlay for a wildcard, so good.

After the success of Fronton the team at Redbull Media House has again backed the event and viewers will be able to watch the action LIVE on www.redbull.com/tv

Awesome news.
So pumped I will be over there for the entire waiting period. Going to be an insane comp to watch in person.

I'm guessing it's due to the fact he is busy with his new company or something.

Didn't he take last year off? Is so he wouldn't hold a seed and would have to rely on scoring a wildcard/trialling...

That is awesome... Wise rules.

Also, how cool will the Masters Final be... Savage you are a lucky man...

"Another feature of this year’s IBA Pipeline Pro will be a showcase of the rich history of the event with a special “Masters Final” featuring several former champions. This will see all past winners of the prestigious Pipeline Pro event competing in 2011.

Michael “Eppo” Eppelstun (Aust) Daniel Kaimi (Hawaii) Steve “Bullet” MacKenzie (Aust) & Ben Severson (Haw) will all take to the water in an exhibition that will take place on the last day before the Men’s final."

He's in the draw, Round 5 - just before the back 12 + 4 Wild cards.

He held a seeding from finishing I think 3rd? on the Australian tour.

Looks like a mad draw. Can't wait.

I was in hawaii in late Jan and went to Pipe when the Eddie nearly ran...walked down to pipe in the afternoon to no one out because the sweep was sooo hectic and swell was a bit out of control. It did start to line up later on and took a couple of snaps. Because no one was on it doesn't give it justice just how big it was. 2nd and 3rd reef were breaking at times!!! Anywho, i'm super pumped for this comp so I thought I'd chuck up some photos from that afternoon!
