So I'm not meaning to spam or anything, I'm just really bloody proud of this. It's been my solo stuff i've been working on all year and recorded it Dave Grohl style at Capital Sound studios in Adelaide. Now after this I'm finally getting a band together so next year can start gigging and stuff!!

I'm just super excited and I hope some of you guys like it too! If anyone wants to use it for anything let me know via PM.

For fan of Deftones, Norma Jean, Dillinger Escape Plan, Thrice, Silverchair... :D

Impressive! Bricks stands out for me and the softer section in Baby Blue lung sounds awesome. Ill definitely give it a few more listens to take it all in.

great stuff '85.
Like Pete I've had to wait to the end of the day to savour. seeing as Brad has put his fave (Bricks) out there, I'll put mine - "Here's to you and to ruin a good thing", probs cos for starters that is one of my fave intro's in this style of hardcore. also it has some sexy bass in it and well, just bloody liked it heaps. Saw in your 'blatant self promo' post that it's one of your proudest days of your life and so it should be mate. Lotta hard work gone into it.
FYI it downloaded like a breeze and my itunes player sucked it up no probs, so 10/10 for ease and compatibility my end.
keep it solid and keep us updated 8) 8)

Dave Grohl Style

D:

Ended up pretty decent though. Like the raw production a great deal (reminds me of Opiate Sun by Jesu, which imo is the perfect way to do rough production), bass coulda had some more presence, perhaps, although I am listening to this on laptop speakers so that would explain that. Good songwriting and a nice use of dynamics, although I only hear Dillinger in the occaisonal Greg-inspired vocal sections (i.e start of Bricks). The songs seemed to avoid a straightout verse/chorus structure to so that was a plus, although a few tempo changes would've been nice as it sorta sits around that mid tempo feel the whole time. All in all, good shit, come stop by Perth sometime.

Cheers caspian for the feedback!!

I like a lot of rawer/truer production too...all natural drum tones and no triggers or anthing like that. Yeah not too much direct Dillingerness but some of their straighter stuff and I've been told I kinda sound like Greg when I scream, so I'll take that, hahaha!!! :D I'd love to come to Perth!!! Getting the band together so hopefully we can tour with asap!! Plus, I need to surf some of wa's finest at some point too!! Haha!!
