Nicaragua

Some days are average and some just get better and better. Today is one of the ones that keeps getting better and better. Swoodle tells of the 'upside' of his surf at EP's is being taken down and pumped on the reef and loving it (but not so much yesterday and today when he is sore, haha) , Captain 6230 posts his fave photo of a off-its-nuts wedge in Brazil. then it's lunchtime, so I head out from work to do some things and cruise my fave newsagecy to check for anything interesting in the waves department. Always a lot on offer but often a bit same-same.
Then i spot a cover - everything is different - the water colour, the perspective.... something interesting!!
If you've read my profile in the intro section (if you haven't done one yet or are new here and haven't - go do it at "Who are you" viewtopic.php?f=5&t=3725&start=0 ) you will know i put Nicaragua as my answer to:
-You now have the wallet of Richard Branson (super rich dude). You can pick a country anywhere in the world (but only one) to find fresh breaks in and sponge your brains out - where would you choose to go?
Nicaragua, lots to be discovered there.

sure enough this cover is a fold-out of a peeeeeeeling left-hander in Nicaragua. The stand-up (If you want good travel articles, we still have to go to stand-up mags most of the time -especially for 'exotic' stuff) is full height with plenty of overhead clearance and is settling in for a very long pit.
Inside is 8 pages of pics with some light text on the place.
How I got onto the place was through our East Coast (USA) friend here Chuck White. Ages ago he posted some pics (hollow, heavy sweet ones) from there and explained how hard the places that pump are to get to - somehow, as it does, the place hooked me. It's been on the radar ever since with only mostly dribbles of shots. I am way stoked with the find.

So I cruise to the mag's site and they have a light-box feature in there. defo check it out if you want. They have audio with each pic you click on. Nothing spectacular, but i realised how good it is to just listen to a story when you're looking at a pic, rather than have to divert to text - just like when mates are back from a pumping trip and ya sit down and go through the pics with the full , frothing narration of their tales of woes and scores.

Checkout the excellent text underneath by Englehorn's father too. Tidy little run-down.
