We’ve decided to fresh it up with the introductions. It’s sick when a new member comes onto the forum and intro’s cos it makes you more than just letters behind a screen for the readers.

Along with the usual questions, we’ve added some extra options, you can answer one, none or all of them. Pretty random, but like boog, it’s all about the fun aye. Especially we’ve asked for you to include at least one pic. It can be a mugshot on land, pic of you riding, whatever. Main thing is that it’s a shot where we can see your face! Slicks and rails start to look the same after a while, it’s your face that defines you as an individual and who we’re talking to on here.

For sure, so long as there is an ocean I’ll be trying to jump in it. Also can’t wait for the kids to be old enough to come for a boog with me.

Double ups and steps for sure, don’t matter if it’s a beach or reef. If that wave that Ewan Donnachie got at shipsterns in one of the last riptide mags where he hits the steps and freefalls while in the barrel then still makes it out was a lefty, then that’s pretty much my dream wave.

Went out on this floppy green board with screw-in plastic fins when I was 12 or 13 and got barrelled on one of my first waves. Hooked

Current quiver is Turbo Custom PP cres, 4Play HPS (tri-core) Kingy concave, No.6 Max EFC cres and No.6 Covenant bat.

Definitely. Some of my funnest days are boogin' with HG Nelson. I won't say his age, but we have a mile of laughs and good times. That's my inspiration to be boogin' then.

Defo an underground rider featured every issue, and rotated around the States so they aren't from a media rich area necessarily. So much unseen talent out there AND it would be one prone underground and one DK underground (which is most DK'ers due to media reasons these days). Some reader stories would be sweet. Brings back the 'real'.

My mates I ride with are my legends (including the PI crew). But in the spirit of the question, Bullet, Kainoa McGee, Uncle Mike, Beau Day. A bloke I surf with has a sick charter boat in asia fully decked to the max, including banks of lights for night surfing, so would cruise with the swell and winds to hammering reefs and just jump over the edge and get barrels and be generally awestruck.

The pic, I've chosen one that isn't so welcoming I suppose, but it's one the Missus took with me just being a noob mucking in Movember. Took a while to get the shot cos we couldn't stop laughing. Main thing is the shirt was given to me by one of the blokes I boog with locally (when he is in the country, Mez Unit on the forum) and it kinda represents what boog is all about, travelling and hitting pumping gear with our mates, and the attitude we have to people that don't like our sport, or choose to put it down for their own narrow reasons.
