just wondering what everyone would like to be able to do on a sled before they are old and decrepit :P
So guys discuss what wave you wanna charge and how big, what move you wanna do, where you wanna go, if you wanna go pro and everything in between.
for me its

Wave: teahupoo 8ft or maybe shippies if i got really ballsy

Move: probs an invert they look heaps fun

Travel: Tahiti or Australia (mainly SA and WA)

Other: Just continue doing it til one of the local old guys 8)
In the end we all die with nothing

My goal is to get amped on boogering again. Recently ive gotten real f@king bored with it. The letter that got the wetty in the latest rippy i can relate to 100%

Shit crowds, winds or size will put me off paddling out. Today i went down to see 20 people at the only decent wave around and thought f@k this and drove home.

Been riding a surfboard more and more just because i cant really enjoy riding a booger on some 2ft mush.

As for other goals, none. I dont really give a shit how well i ride or what trick i do and all that rubbish. As long as im enjoying myself out there.

My main aim, still pretty long term-ish, is to be able to ride waves of real consequence. Huge Box, Cyclops, 8ft+ Chopes (definitely going there once in my life) etc.

I want to travel and pioneer new waves- Iceland this year, maybe canada/alaska the year after. Hell, Falkland Islands look pretty appealing... I love isolation and this plays into that. Keen on spending a few months on the south coast of WA sometime, too.. Amazing place and I wish I could go down more. Tasmania also looks great.

I'm too big to be tech but I'd love to be able to do clean rolls and inverts. Still, it all comes down to 6ft Cyclops, decent Chopes and huge Box. That's the aim, that's the dream. If I never surf those (surfed the latter a few times when it's small) I'll be pretty disappointed, really.

Really? I mean big Northpoint is extremely good (maybe even world class) but it doesn't barrel that much when it gets really huge.. More of a surfer's wave. Better waves around imo.

Further down south is well worth the effort.. so is Dongara and north of that. Breaks that are consistently empty and that can deliver waves as good as anything the margs-yall stretch can dish out. Jake's Point is even better then North Point, I dare say (was way out my depth when I went there though )

box? supers on a big, clean swell? Smith's Reef, even.To be honest this may just be due to crowds.. I'd even prefer pumping boodjidup. Depends on what you're looking for I guess; I've had North Point with just one other friend (once) before and it's an insane amount of fun, but overall I prefer reefs to pointbreaks. Also I always seem to snap an arm leash when I'm there

im too scared/lazy to surf box but i suppose it wouldnt be too bad out there on a small day.
and caspian the reason i never surf big northpoint is because i am always surfing big supers when it would be big at nothpoint haha. same goes with smiths reef

I've only went out there when it's small, but it's still epic. 4 foot box seems to have the same power as Supers that's twice the size. Waves are so powerful there.. And a sneaker set left me with some scars.

Here's a thought: when it's going to be decent down there (and I'm going down by myself) we could both head down to Box? Nothing like peer pressure to get you charging

it wont be decent for a while though if the swell charts and winds are anything to go by, and thats the size that i want to surf it in

i dont doubt that i would surf it without peer pressure its just like i said im too lazy and normally cant get down there too surf it
