Well well well I'm back from Indo and ready to share some goods, I forgot my password so I had to wait till I got home to login

Thanks for that Doc and pete and sundayz always keen to hear what people think

So my trip consisted of 55 days of South Sumatra, Mentawais, Java (Jakarta is a hole never go there!) and Bali (mostly Bingin-Uluwatu area)

South Sumatra was amazing, so many perfect bodyboard waves and great beachies, we never had epic swell nothing really over 5ft but when it was good I was surfing so photos don't really represent some of the best. http://www.secretsumatra.com the guys are legends, Dean was really nice and Matty Henwood the surf guide was the biggest champion.

Then came the Mentawais, we stayed on our OWN island for 10 nights, hands down the most beautiful place I've ever been in my life. The island (http://www.togatnusaretreat.com has 3 cabins with 2 in each (double bed) making for a MAX of 6 guests at any one time!!! Great left out front called scarecrows with a great end barrel bowl called 'CurryBowl'. You have to see this place to believe it, the huts are made entirely out of driftwood by the owner surfer/carpenter John E Ocean and his wife Ainsley and we had our own personal chef who would whip you up the most delicious breakfast ever after a good surf.

Then onto Bali, met up with Yutziy for a week in Uluwatu, didnt particularly like it as a wave but loved Padang Padang, such a good wave. Stayed in Bingin for 10 nights afterwards with a warung that looked over the surf, just sat reading on our balcony till saw a good set then grabbed the board, locked up and headed out.

On another note went down south on the weekend for some little fun ones to pipe, some scoundrel (think swearing ban) stole my board whilst i was shooting! it was right there on the beach along with 20 other people!

Anywho not too bummed as it wasnt my good board but still...jerk

Went to a death bommie on Saturday, was too south facing and copped the worst of the wind and the messy swell. Then hit up the pictured place in the arvo for a small surf with just us 4 out. Came back the next morning on Sunday and scored some pretty nice barrels for my birthday (11/09) as pictured, topped it off with an all you can eat indian buffet for dinner to make it a great weekend

I keep coming back to this photo...it's not a big wave by any means, but it's the unknown of what happened after it was taken that I love. And the image has the same blue/grey through it.. i dunnoo...i just really dig it Robbo!
