what's the point of that hubcap one? The composition/lighting isn't that interesting.. a rather boring photo.

Your skating one and that Cabarita one are great.

the kenilworth art show and the school one are both general photography.

well the hub cap one is ruled out, not than an interesting photo.

still stuck between the last five though.

Cabarita no doubt about it the most interesting pic.. Although maybe try rotate it a little so that the wave is running parallel with the framing. Just to give it some balance. Although who knows maybe itll throw it out of wack.

nah dude, i just tried it then in ightroom and it looks shit, i think the horizon matters more than the swell lines/wave

you don't always want super balanced/centred stuff anyway, I generally find most of the best photos come when the thing of interest is a bit off centre.

Cabarita has fantastic lighting too.. love how the dude is a complete silouhette (sic). Photoshop, I guess?

i didnt actually do much to this photo, just grayscale, upped contrast a tad and down brightness a tad, and then straightened the horizon

yeh definitely keep the straightened horizon, unless your going for a weird look which is hard to pull off, a crooked horizon just feels really unnatural. i like the looking out the barrel one the most out of them, but the silhouette one is also nice. The other photos arent bad, like the skateing one, but just not particularly interesting. Its not a criticism as such, its just your in that phase which everyone goes through when they start taking photos. Its all part of the development of your photographic style. Keep it up

To be honest i didnt even realise the horizon in that cabarita pic. Thats kinda why i liked it most because i thought i was all water filling the frame.
