Mitch i really like the 'idea' and shot of the first one. Maybe run it through photoshop, apply rule of 1/3rds and you'd be on a winner imo.

brilliant stuff collimi - always love to see a dirtbike pic btw (raced thumpernats for years) ;-)
that match flare - is brill shot - but I can't see much burnt wood and there even looks to be some phosphorus left on the match head... so I'm wundrin how you got the match to light and then got the flint or flame (or whatever you used) out of the way in time to get that early flare shot - or held it so still after striking it??? (visions of some crazy mythbusters set-up spring to mind) ya don;t have to give away yer secrets, just wanted to let ya know I'm a wundrin'....

lidder72 - cool stuff - I hear there is a BB club at Bra now (MBB) - u in it? Nice Triptych at the bottom...

yep theres a new version of the Maroubra Bodyboarders (MBB). i missed out on joining due to there only being 50 allocated spots (due to local council insurance...or something like that) but im associated and support them. working on a logo design for them (im a graphic designer by trade)

nah its 100% real, i had the match upright in a little clamp thing, then i got my dad to light the matches with a lighter while i took the pic. i actually wanted to get the smoke, i took the pic way too early so it was actually unintentional, but i like how it turned out.

heres another pic from the same night with the clamp in frame:
