The north shore starts with Mokuleia, Wailua, Haleiwa, Chun's Reef, Laniakea and then the 7-mile miracle which starts with Waimea Bay, Keiki, and then a short stretch of beach with Log Cabins, Rock Piles, Insanities, Off The Wall, Backdoor, Pipe, Ehukai, Pupukea, Gas Chambers, Rocky Point, V-land then ends with Sunset Beach.

 I couldnt even imagine if a spot around here like collaroy to narrabeen had that many world class waves on it. Must be heaven, do all the different breaks accomodate for all types of swells huey throws at you?

No they don't. Some favor N, some NW.

There are more less significant breaks like Jocko's, outside reef Himalaya's where it breaks at 20'+ Hawaiian, Avalanche, Puena Point, Jocko's, Marijuana's, Left Overs etc. and a bunch more in Mokuleia.

Hi Aaron.....couple of people that I can remember have died at Log's but way more people have died at Pipe. Those rock pinnacles (column shaped sticking upwards) all the way across the beach from Log's to Pipeline. A guy I knew took off late on a very windy offshore at 8', free fell into and landed on his stomach on one of the more infamous rocks at Pipe. Split him open from his chest into and through his rectum. Good thing is that he survived but took 2-years of rehab before he surfed again.

Shit, that sounds friggan gnarly. First wave I ever caught at Pipe I got absolutely smashed and my foot got stuck in one of the tunnels, so scary. I was pulling and yanking just praying another wave wouldn't break on me, but I got out of it all sweet. The caves are real cool to dive in when the surfs small.

Azza, how cool is it to have a Pipe story to tell. So lucky Bro!

Danny, Hectic Tale mate, the fact that he is back surfing, that deserves cred, and lots of it!

Stevo, mate, for first shots, I can't see the bad side, I looove star trails, a little bit of noise cus of ISO level yer, could have been due to the downsizing to JPG as well?

Because i heard a while back that video on youtube of stewart drawing that LONG line and eventually getting pitted at pipe was a take of from log cabins ... but i always thought OTW was the other way from pipe :?

That was trippy when Mike paddled out to 2nd reef and kept drifting westward and ended up taking off outside Logs. That voice and shutter you hear on the clip is me with Kea Kapoi filming next to me.
