Part of booga history - onya for keeping them and sharing it around. I want a handle like on the manta team one (first pic) - I am gonna fly arnie schwarzenegger over to pick it up for me next time..hahah

My first board was a 1990 Manta Magnum (i think) cant remember the size. prob 42". sold it to a mate after getting my 2nd board.

2nd Board was a custom 1991 Manta Pro Hawke (44"). custom in those days meant you could pick the colours hehehe.
Then life got in the way and i stopped riding seriously for about 10 years. got back into it when i moved myself to the Bra (why did i ever leave bb???)
My cousin, who i used to BB with when i used to ride, lent me his Manta Wingnut (42") to see if i was still interested after moving (i was!)...you can see its red tail. have since given it back when i bought my 3rd board ever: 07 NMD BP 42.25"

^^^
photo was taken back in 06 in my old place at the Bra before moving in with my girlfriend.

Got this 08 NMD BP 42.25 this year from Des @ Emerald and it is now the board i ride

It actually the same template as the Pro XBT. i wanted a big round flexy board for smaller hollow ledgy waves in summer at a few certain spots with steps in the face. ive only ridden it once, and it went ok, but wrong type of waves.

the fins don;t add as much as you might think - well, for me anyways. it's a srface area thing. the rails and my body and the channels have heaps more influence. although i reckon it would b way more noticeable if you were a heap lighter - even 65 to 70 kilos wouldnt push them so hard as my frame. would also be noticeable if it was someone that didnt know how to use their rails real well.
