yep it most certainly is, one of the most special places on earth - i was lucky enough to get it at 3-4 ft, it really only ever gets to 6ft cause its sort of protected from the south headland. no shit you could clock up 30 seconds of tube time (not all at once) on 1 wave if the swell direction is right. I only ever got it breaking for about 1.5 kays as it wasn't linking up all the way point. I surfed it for a week with 3 other guys and 2 locals and was there for 4 weeks just in that area in total (pacasmayo is just up the road). you could have a session for a couple hours and wouldn't talk to no one cause while your running up the beach the other dudes would be catching waves

I don't mind talkin it up coz no one ever goes there and the place will never get overcrowded, very out of the way and gun-toting bandidos are a very real prospect if you go with anything more than your board, wetty and fins. and you might like this fact ralphy with your weather knowledge, the place has never blown onshore. It is constantly offshore day in day out due to the angle of the headland and being on the edge of the desert - can you tell i like the joint - definitely a place I'll be going back to

heres my 20 in no particular order, haven't surfed the last 5 but hope to some day before I move on

1. north point
2. supertubes (down south wa)
3. G-land, 4-6ft speedies oh my god
4. central to mid north nsw coast (no need to name names but you know the places) - killer part of oz and the world
5. chicama, awe inspiring
6. scar reef, low tide 6ft+ oh man
7. padang, again low tide 6ft+, dreams are made of this place
8. macaronis - even more perfect in real life than the footage - equally heavy on low tide as the 2 above
9. pipeline - even with crowds a special place
10. salsa brava - heavy right and super cool town with sooo cheap greenery
11. super suck - perfect
12. rancids/floppos - high performance wave with a bulshit bowl section
13. keramas same as above
14. kirra (when it works) - coz 12 second barrels dont get much better
15. saggy tits - somwehere in sumba that will never have a crowd, left hand barrel that breaks square for 200m+
16.teahupoo - it just looks sooo perfect
17.galapogos - magical waves and set ups but got skunked big time - the animal life is something you will never forget
18.cloud nine - have you not seen the tension vids - siiiiick!!!
19.restaurants - again 10 second barrels - how do you resist
20.p-pass - looks perfect doesnt it

Quick question for you BK,

Which wave at 6 ft low tide did you rate as heavier - Scar reef or padang?

hard to rate which ones heavier as both are so perfect when the conditions come good. I'd have to say scar reef just coz it seems to drain off the reef a bit harder and is more isolated, the last boat trip I did there one guy got drilled and sliced his calf wide open, and it wasnt a clean gash either just all f@kked up like something out of a movie, the boat he was on ended up dropping him off at the doctors on the mine site near super sucks, if he didnt have that he would have been in big trouble i reckon. so maybe coz of the isolation probably scar reef

Seriously thought i cant give a top 20 right now, because some waves ive only surfed 2 or 3 times and hardly when they are on but i know when they pump they are up there with the worlds best and others i would have surfed hundreds through the dud days and the days where swells, tides and winds align to make them magical.

I'm just going to do ones I've surfed. Otherwise it'd just be teh usual- chopes, pipe, clops (all when small and/or high tide, if possible) etc etc.
So:

1. Supertubes
2. Rabbits (man this is so good when it works)
3. Gas reef
4. Boodjidup
5. Bowel's Rivermouth
6. North Point
7. Jake's Point
8. p-break
9. Smith's Reef
10. The Bay
11. Honeycombs
12. Lucky Phil's (doubt that's the real name but I have no idea what it's called)
13. Flat Rocks
14. City Beach (yes I am being delusional about my home break; heaps of fun when it works but)
15. Injidup
16. Secret Harbour
17. Singleton (starting to run out of breaks now..)
18. South Beach
19. Random bank I surfed in germany
20. Oh alright, I'll put chopes here
21. When I man up and surf big Box it'll go here to I guess

Pretty obvious as to where I do must of my surfing.

Hey, sandtracks! I had a fun time there recently. With the NW wind last week it was basically the only place breaking
