Science Customs, is excited to announce the Science Customs Design Challenge. The Design Challenge is an open call for artists of all levels to create a custom design and share it with the bodyboarding community. The Challenge will run from May 1 until June 30 with the Grand Prize to be selected by Mike Stewart and Alistair Taylor on July 12.

GRAND PRIZE (Selected by Mike and Al):
Science Custom Board with the winning design, Science boardbag and Gyroll leash.

FIRST PLACE (User votes):
Science Custom Board with the winning design, Science boardbag and Gyroll leash.

SECOND PLACE (User votes):
$75 Gift Certificate to Science Customs

THIRD PLACE (User votes):
$50 Gift Certificate to Science Customs

The Challenge is designed to showcase a breakthrough in board design technology allowing Science Customs to apply any custom artwork to your board. All art is permanently applied, will not scratch or fade and unlike other board graphics, the artwork is created specifically for your custom board.

Thanks and good luck,

Mike & Al

definitely giving this a shot. Hopefully photoshop won't let me down. At the very least if I'm happy with the design I'll get a custom made up anyway (which I guess is the reason why they're doing this..)

good to see that AL has given mike the technology for the board stamp, I wonder if he'll pass on the plug in the board idea also?

Nice one swoodle, good job.
The blue grid on the white background kind of reminds me of the tiles in a shower or bathroom and what better place to bathe than in the ocean :D .

Yeah i think thats pretty sick and yeah has a bathroom tile affect but still looks good. Maybe you could do interior decorating for bodyboarders? haha. But seriously I like the design ay!

Mad Swoods - it is in theme with the design concets science currently runs without copying them directly, yet freshes it up. You could put a little tuft of red hair on the "S" in swoodle maybe...haha
hope no one flogs some of those ideas now that they're up.
