Not my favourite but.. word on the street is he's in hospital right now after hurting his back down in sydney a few days ago..
heard a few rumors as he landed on a rock and another person said he just got PWNT..
apparently in a comp too and people had to drag him off the rocks
anyone else got any information?
hope he has a speedy recovery..

well he's due home today and while he is still sore he is really positive and looking forward to getting back in the water.
I'm sure his parents will be glad to have him home, i hate to say it but it could've been a lot worse. The kid is actually really lucky. I think everyone at some stage has to pay their dues. The positive is;
he now knows he can surf solid waves and come out OK even after such a crazy accident. It should help his confidence a lot.
When i was 15 there is no way i would even paddle out to those waves, my hat goes off to the fella.
Another positive. The kid got the job done. The photos are pretty f@king sick and hopefully he gets some love in the next Rippy mag.

Also props to Sammy Strachan. (excuse spelling). Sam really looked after Thorpe.

man if you keep surfing as much as you do as your confidence grows you will have the desire to push yourself.. I promise you.

Respect to the young man, as people have said, 8-10ft in waves that crazy at 15 years is super impressive.
