Pyneo = Shaun Pyne
Look at page 43, in Riptide #170 for a good example of his riding. He shreds.

Got an expected time on when the final will be run ?

Cheers,

Hey Damo, mate it was pretty hectic yesterday and i was logged in so i could glance some comments, but didn't have time to type stuff in. i saw this but Leo was busy, gave an estimate over the mic.

miiichael wrote:Doc There is intense glare from your bald head, making the webcast really hard to watch hahahahahah :D :D :D

Smartarse - haha

First Rock wrote:Now it is, however its freezing and stopping every second or so. The stream is a trickle. How come this only happens with bodyboarding events?

Exactly the same equipment used to braodcast the big surfing events.

savage flame wrote:Back on track, had to go to bloody work!
Right on time for the finals :D
cheers for the shoutout Doc.
Come on player

No worries man - just had a quick look at the names who posted in here at the time and called those, plus the story of you coming here for one of the potential runs.

Awesome webcast, we only had about 5 -10 mins of downtime in one section, which was a problem with a server in the states where the info stream goes first, nothing Swellnet's end. Ben Matson is a total pro.
We couldn't run live scores due to the distance of the broadcast unit from the judges (which was intentional to give them space and keep all the riders and goings on near us so they could concentrate to the max). Banged it on the twitter ass soon as results were through and called what we could see on the screen.
Thanks to Chad Jackson for his awesome work and yarns about The Right.

Cheers for the props, insanely good time, my fave day of the year.

PS vid on its way, but get ready for some pretty awesome housing stills around the mags.
I'm getting some for online in the next couple of days and will give a heads up where they turn up around the place from the pro's - Gleeso and Steve Jones doing most of the shooting.

Aww, bummed I missed Chad talking about the right. He was a pretty good commentator, for sure.

All in all was really nice to see it come off and succeed :D

Check out the Emerald Blog for a full rundown on the event and some sick framegrabs of all the action from filmer Rich Lornie, who is the guy behind the new DVD CHOUT! which you can check out the preview of HERE or also on the Emerald Blog.

Had a sick day checking out all the action and chatting to the riders. If you ever get a chance to come watch the Island Challenge, I recommend you do it!!! Thanks Doc for commentating and running an awesome webcast! Hope to see you back in the Nulla soon!

PS Sorry we didn't open the shop until after the event, we were too keen to watch the event....

Cheers Roscoe. Sick to have the Emerald crew down supporting, such a dedcated Boog shop man.
Folks might want to keep an eye on ch.9 news here in Sydney tonight and possibly other channels. Looking pretty solid to get a quick comp story run.
