You can register right up until July, but you will miss most of the comps Marty.
The comp times will vary with tides and conditions from month to month, so some could be late starts, depending on conditions near the time, os you could get a sleep-in AND compete - woot woot!

Hi Guys

I recently moved over to Sydney from the tropical South Island of New Zealand (think 10*c water temps). I have only been riding about four or five years on and off but try devote every day off to hitting the waves! I live in centennial park area and am keen to meet some other lidders. The TBC looks like a great way to get involved even though i haven't competed b4, Doc if you could let me know when your next comp is on i would be keen as to come down.

Thanks in advance.

Hey dustman,

Mate, you're heaps welcome to head over to TBC - normally the comp is first sunday of the month, but for April we've moved it to the second Sunday (11th) cos of a heap being away for Easter.
We've also got a board stamping night at the local coming up soon, which would be a mad way to meet some of the lads (we're a pretty social crew) before the comp. I'll send you a pm with some deets.
Welcome to the forum and cheers for hooking up.

Chur,

Doc

we've had some fun comps for TBC so far. Congrats to Dustman who made the A's final in his first event in April and came third in the A's in some sweet conditions last week's May comp. Last week saw 12 Dk riders competing, which is a pretty sick turn-out. Many thanks to Clayton Pickworth from http://www.dksessions.com who came down to give a level 0 (club level) coaching course for all those who attended and polish up the DK judging criteria particularly. big ups for that Clay. Couple of pics attached from the' last comp.

Jose and Bunts ran a rider development clinic for the groms on Saturday - this sort of stuff is insanely good for riders wanting to improve and it would be mad to see more clubs doing this sort of thing at least once or twice a season. Props to Phil for getting behind grass roots BB (again) and giving it space on his site.

AA's rider Sammy Taucher scored frame of the day on FZ http://www.fluidzone.com/galleries/thed ... ?image=297 framed by Nick Bannehr, another of Tama's sons who is really making some tracks behind the lens.
We'll see if conditions give us one more comp before the preso's. otherwise the year is a wrap.

If there is anyone reading who would like to join the club for next year, we'll have a sign-up day on the first Sunday in February 2011. Hit me up with a PM here if you would like any info on when and where. It's been a mad year packed with good times.

Sick season this year for TBC.
Rego day in 2011 is first Sunday in February, Tama Beach. New members welcome.
Sometimes we hold the comp in a place called K-Bay if the conditions are right, see here: viewtopic.php?f=11&t=4864 for a small sample of the waves those comps run in.
Any queries, hit me up.
