Earphones and Headphones

A home to all things pop culture that don't necessarily relate to bodyboarding but are still worth raving about.

why buy any, whenever you fly with a group of people just get them to get a pair (or more) when they board the plane and then get them off them, that should last

Those ones dont last. I did that, coming home from Canberra last year and I grabbed around 8. Anyway, i lost a few, stuffed another couple and I was down to my last 2.
I was waiting to get on the bus with my mate to go to Perth for state titles and had one earphone in, and was twirling the other around my finger and the end literally just flew off. I wasn't swinging it hard, nice a loopy roll, and it flew off.
So I whipped out the other pair and then about 2 minutes before we got to the hotel, the other pair just stopped working. One second it was playing normally, the next I had no sound.

Grrrrrrrr

being using Sennheiser headsets since i was 12, never had a problem.

if you want good sound, I recommend you invest your money, rather then forking out $10 every few months.

simple as this, I use my headset for long distances etc.
short distances I use my car or shitty ipod headphones, and you can pick those up from ebay for $3 with free postage as I have.

My headset on ebay right now is $250 Sennheiser HD 555's, 12 months ago it was $350.

Before that headset I had a Sennheiser HD 215's which where $120 and could beat alot of brands.

imo it's either Sennheiser or Audio Technica for sound.

invest boy.

Im currently using SkullCandy low riders...they look pretty sick and have a nice design. The sound quality is excelent. Handles base beautifully aswell. Ive been usign the same pair for nearly a year now..and they're working just as good now as the first day i got them. Recomend them to anyone

These are the ones i use really good sound but sometimes im looking to turn it up more (mainly coz im used to the sound system in my ute) but still really good sound out of them. sort of mid range kind of ones they cost me about $120.

I used the skull candy ear buds too but couldnt use them for too long as they hurt my ears but they got pinched anyway.
The sound-deadner ones are insane especially when i was on the plane to England handiest piece of gear.

the vinyl on my skullcandy's went all crumbly after a year or so, was pretty disappointed in that.
Lemme know how those cordless phones go DRL, I've tried a couple of pair (bah to cords) but they're quality has been pretty meagre  would be mad to have a set that actually transmit/receive strongly and sound good

Yeah there more for gaming/movies on the PS3 but they are 7.1 dolby surround sound, detachable mic, awsome pre-amp and interchangeable tags - would'nt really wear them out and about but I know a few guys who do
