heavy stuff

A home to all things pop culture that don't necessarily relate to bodyboarding but are still worth raving about.

Converge rule. Very obscure band, and very influential. I've found you either hate them or love them.

Yeah dude, amazing band. It's a bit frantic for a lot of people, and a lot of people don't like Jacob Bannons vocals.
Amazing to see live if you get the chance.
Pretty much any metalcore/hardcore/thrash band around now would have been influenced by Converge in someway

first decrepit birth is pretty sweet, heard it for the first time yesterday. Better than their later era "LATER DEATH BUT WORSE!!!1" crap.

Currently playing a lot of Alkerdeel, pretty cool sludge/noise/raw black stuff, big walls of nasty sound, you could only imagine how great it would sound live..

I'm definately one of those guys who doesn't 'get' Converge. Jane Doe and Petitioning the Empty Sky are ok, but yeah, alot of other bands I'd rather listen to instead.
