I'm probably gonna head over to Thailand in November. Can't decide if I wanna take a board or not. Apparntly there's some reefs off Koh Samui than can go off but the options in Phuket seem dodgy and really unreliable. Anyone been over in Novemeber or around then and know if it's worth taking a board with me?

good luck getting any swell in thailand in november/december. You might get super lucky with a massive late season southern ocean swell or a huge pacific one though. Just check the forecast a day before you go.

Phuket is a disgusting mess of tourism, rubbish and general shittiness. Hit up Samui if you're keen to relax or get a mad Thai vibe.

So it's like Kuta/Legian?

Gotta stay there for a least a few days as the wedding is there. the olds tried to book samui but were unsuccessful

Pretty much spot on. If you haven't booked your accomodation yet try and stay in either Karon or Kata rather than Patong. Patong reminds me of Kings Cross on a beach (with more lady boys) the further south in Kata you get the more chilled and enjoyable it gets.
