Ink

A home to all things pop culture that don't necessarily relate to bodyboarding but are still worth raving about.

^^that's done so well Tripz, sick shading nuances. Personally i find ink to be one of the highest/most appealing forms of art. Lives/breathes/moves.
Props to your babe - that's a solid sesh

yo boogs! Long time no speak! Yeah it's on my left forearm and it didn't hurt much at all. Probably about the same as my ribs! I still swear getting dreds put in hurts way more than getting a tattoo!

I was pretty nervous about doing on my trip because I wouldn't know the artist and studio all that well, but it was something that i wanted to take home with me. Anyways, I go to a good looking studio so at least it's would be clean and my chances of getting a disease would be lessened :D !! So I get this guy who I can only see two visible tattoos and I was a bit weary that I might be getting someone less experienced or something. As he goes to work we start chatting and i ask him if he has tattooed anyone famous and he says "yeah, Chester from Linkin Park asked me to go on tour with him so I could get working on him on tour, oh, and I did Slash from Gun and Roses' chest piece"!

After that I felt pretty confident that he would be able to deliver the goods!!! So i am stoked and already have an idea for my next piece!!

Tatt & Body art expo in Sydney this weekend http://www.tattooexpo.com.au/index.html .
The bloke who has done my ink for over 20 years now has invited me to get some work done in the booth. I was introduced to Tony as 'one of the best' by a mate originally. Some of you may be familliar with the studio in Elizabeth St. http://www.theillustratedman.com.au/

Note to newcomers to ink - EVERY time I'm in the studio, someone comes in wanting work fixed up that was done by a random who thought they knew what they were doing in some other place.
Tip: Get your ink off someone with rep

If anyone is coming down, I'll be in the illustrated Man booth midday Saturday for a few hours. Feel free to drop by.
Current work is the third part of a form of undersea Triptych (A triptych is a 3 panel work technically, but closest description I could think of)

Tony Cohen on the job at his studio:
