RIPTIDE #180

Postby GoldCoastbooger » Wed Feb 09, 2011 9:43 pm

Picked mine up from the newsagents on the way to school this morning...had read it all by the time id got home.
Watched The Lackey Project as soon as i got home home and i must say..absolute killer! loved it!
The magazine itself wasnt too bad, had some good contents to read. Wouldnt say it was a bad way to start off the year.
Anyone else have a view of it?
Straddie is where its at ;)

The Lackey Project is the best thing riptide has ever been involved in IMO lol ... stoked to have a copy and to have seen it!

I appreciated the pages with DK in the mag too, more would have been better but at least it is a start! lol

Haven't read it all yet but I did like the article about surfing in Canada and the blokes story who is indigenous (sorry forget his name atm) thought both were well written.

Hopefully the rest of the mag is as good but so far I am happy with it.

Checked out the teaser on the Riptide home page and some of those images look nuts. Can not wait to grab this one.

It was only on the letter page, and they accepted it being a popularity contest. So I cant see it being a bad thing

yeah, anyone who sends in a photo with a letter or cool story (that they like and publish) gets similar sized photos.
From a photographic point of view though, as un-magazine worthy as it may ave been it is exposure for him

Yeah this is weird, happened to me too. although i worked out if you press 'play all' then press chapter skip on the remote (>>I) then it would play the whole movie, otherwise all it would do is play the nomad add then go back to the main menu.

Movie was really good, best section for me was the dylan lee section then the raoch setion. Roach is such a speed demon, would like to have seen him on some better waves.

Havent had time to read much of the mag yet either but what ive seen looks good

^^ Same, I just skipped to 3:50 and it worked out alright.
I honestly couldn't watch the whole thing. I got bored halfway through.... I guess you can't really do much in drop knee though.
Haven't looked at the mag yet, looks alright though
I stand out. Not up
