Surfed so many times in cracking waves with him.

Care to elaborate on this. I'm generally curious as to what cracking waves you have surfed with him, because from footage I've seen, he shreds some of the heaviest waves in the world when they are big, and I mean huge. Eg - Chopes, Pipe, The Wedge etc. Also charges island when its square as hell, taking off super deep and making crazy surge barrels.

I am not doubting he charges big waves, and rides a barrel well. He has no tech skills and his style is average. And you might see him in a mag once a year if your lucky and yet he has a fair amount of sponsors. Doesnt make sense to me, there are hundreds of better unsponsored riders. I put it down to his connections. But hey, just one mans opinion
