Stealth Bodyboards

Postby adam.s » Thu Jun 23, 2011 8:53 pm

What's the go?
I dare say they will be made by NMD as Stealth is part of World which is affiliated with NMD as far as I'm aware?

I haven't got a link, because this is what I've heard from a few mates at a comp I was competing in today.
And on EBB's website, there blog has a deal going on with boards from certain companies, one of them being Stealth.

PRE-PAY YOUR 2011/12 BOARD FROM;
VS
NMD
STEALTH
MOREY
BZ
& LMNOP

This could all be codswallop but I think it's legit?

Hmm. Just had a chat with photog. Ben Lee and he said all he knows is that it is run through World (obviously) and they are likely to be low end boards. He also said he didn't think they would be made through NMD.

Yeah, seriously cluttered market happening now and you really gotta wonder how most of the smaller companies turn a profit, or break even.. Same with wetsuits. Wonder if we'll see some sort of bodyboard brand apocalypse soonish...

What board company was Mark McCarthy on previous to this? Wasn't it Zero.
Wait.
Matt Mcarthur is on Zero.

Those two names always confuse me..

Their spiel says...
"Stealth has brought out a range of Bodyboards for the 2011/12 Season.
They've developed these boards for the rider who wants a quality board without the big wig rider signature attached.
All the features without the inflated pricetag!"
3D = $350
PP = $370

Ok.. signature boards made at the MEZ factory..
VS
3D = $360
PP = $390
NMD, Morey. BZ,
3D =$360
PP =$380

So for getting a no name board you can save yourself $10 or $20... or put another way, a riders signature is only worth another $10-$20 per board. Doesn't really live to "all the features without the inflated pricetag".
