New member here. :)

These are shots of the old and the new. The Morey Pro Comp III was a gift on my 12th birthday in '94 (I'm 29 now) and the 2010 Mach 7XP is what I'm riding currently. I stopped booging for about 10 years after high school but decided to get back in the water about 3 years ago and try to fit in a wave whenever I can. Since resuming riding I have also used and abused a 2009 Dallas Tricore and a 2010 PP Turbo V that i recently offloaded to a mate. My first decent lid was a Manta Pro Hawke in yellow, blue and white that i bought second hand for $90 when I was 10.

the 7XP is a very nice looking board. How does it go?

I've been keen on the 7X (PE, Mesh, Stringer) as a winter alternative to my FRC core and it's one of the few boards where i like the look of the template and it comes in a 43"

Hey, thanks mate.

The 7XP is the best template I've ridden for me personally, although mine is a 41.75" so it's a little smaller than model you've mentioned and it's a really nice all round shape that has stood the test of time. I remember years ago that older mach 7.7's (that I believe the 7X is based on) had issues with creasing pretty easily but it seems to be a thing of the past with the better materials and tech that they use currently so i say go for it 8) .

This arrived in the mail today, won it in the recent Riptide giveaway (thanks to Rheopaipo and Riptide btw). They threw in a board bag too which I wasn't expecting and the quality is as good as anything on the market currently at face value. There's a fair bit of difference in the flex of the stringers too, with the "super smooth" easily bent to the carbon fibre which has nearly no flex at all.

I went for the PP core with mesh, nice clean template that looks like it will be lots of fun. Got me all nostalgic for days of Eppo and ARS's when Rheo were originally a player in the scene.

Cool. Let us know how the stringer setups work in the salt!

What key did you get?
I got a yellow and I haven't got anything yet. I'm in WA by the way.

Yep, yellow key.

I had to fill out and email the order form on their website confirming what model of board I wanted after I had confirmed they had received my key and personal details. A little bit of running around but I found Chritsiaan at Rheo to be pretty helpful with any queries. Send them an email if you haven't already.

I had no contact after my order letting me know it was sent or anything, it just rocked up via courier out of the blue so if you have done what I've mentioned above already it may even be on the way.

Yea man I sent them and email ages ago, sent Riptide one too, Riptide responded and said the board was on its way (maybe a week before Christmas) but I haven't had any contact with Rheo, haven't filled out any forms. It sucks cause I'm pretty close to needing a new board too.
