hey chops - crowds were nuts but reasonably chilled where I was - i hung wide of the stand up pack & scooped up some fun little lefts on the fringe but then a few people saw me get a couple of ok ones & I soon had some company anyway. No lids out near me except same guy I saw out before on a surf matt - he looks like a liddie the way he goes on his matt. Whats your kit chops so I know what to look out for - u know - board, wettie, fins - distinguishing tatoos - haha? i'm mostly on a blue nmd, ripcurl steamer, churchill fins.

I was pretty much in line with the viewing platform going left toward the rocks - were you further down cape schank direction - looked like some ok peaks that way too?

haha - ok will look out for the man in black with serious sideburns & the much loved fins. How was it down the beach ? looked ok that way too but i liked the look of the rights - even though I ended up mostly catching lefts because of the size of the pack.

Yeah it wasn't bad but once tide went out everyone moved to where you were or moved right down the beach i surfed a shorey cause i had it to myself jsut about one other stand up there was a short ride but a little barrel and a lip to launch off in the close out only down side was wetsuit was full of sand but i didn't have to contend with 500 others for a wave

Decent looking low and good winds for sure assuming forecast stays on track for weekend. Prob looking at sat session for logistics not conditions - def sunday looks good swoodle. Could be close out city on sat down morno way though - love to get a wave sat at gunna if working sat then watch a bit of the comp but think i'll head to 13th because assume it will be a bit smaller but ok in ne winds. Blah blah blah - can't make a decision - hahah - anyway - hopefully some good size and power around.

haha - who's a happy camper then? Think I will stick to my 13th plan for sat - possibly meeting a stand up mate at the beacon now so better rock up there - was tempted to check bird rock & sparrows - but 13th prob handle potential crowds better plus better for NE winds plus maybe a bit more size in the swell.

looking fwd to hearing full wrap up from vicco crew post weekend though - should be some good sessions to be had - Sunday down morno way could be the pick but not complaining about sat forecast.

Hope you guys scored today or score tomorrow - I flapped around like a goose at 13th - nice enough conditions but BIG numbers out - surf comp on - speakers blaring - got dropped in on - did my head in - so eventually paddled in and drove to sparrows in my dripping wettie & got some small but sanity restoring rights - see pic. Saw a few liddies on bird rock too - see pic 2

Looked like a cracker day, i unfortunatly missed out on a surf today didn't make it to view the comp was to late and i figured the crowds down the peninsula would have been outta control gonna hit it up tomorrow might go looking for a bank on the beachies somewhere hitting mid to late arvo wait for the tide!

hey chops - If the size backs off a little on morno beachies you'd have to think you'd be in with a good shot for some good quality waves tomorrow - crowds at 13th were insane - i think i made some comment about 13th handling the crowds better - but beacon today was a write off and I gave up and went elsewhere. no surf for me tomorrow - household responsibility beckons.
