Last year the evergreen Ryan Hardy topped the list as your favourite rider with Pierre Louis-Costes and Mitch Rawlins closely snapping at his heels in second and third respectively. But this year we’ve got a new reigning World Champ in PLC, who’s produced another strong showing in the 2012 World Tour. He’s trying to catch a rampaging Winny, who’s currently out in front thanks to wins at the Arica Chilean Challenge and the Itacoatiara Pro, Brazil. But it’s not just the World Tour that’s flourishing, our sport’s freesurfers have been absolutely killing it too. Not only have the more established favourites impressed us, we’ve seen the rise of lesser-known riders from places such as Tahiti, Canary Islands and Spain, who’ve shown the world the world they’re forces to be reckoned with. All of this will ensure we’ll see another tight, hard-fought poll.
