Irish wave breaks bones

Irish charger Danny Skajarowski has had his leg shattered into five places after hitting the bottom at one of Ireland's heavier waves.
A peruse of Riptide photog Mickey Smith's blog provided us with the terrible news. Though this isn't an isolated incident at this gnarly Irish break. Turns out that this is the fourth serious injury to occur there this season. It follows a broken back, severe concussion with stitches and two smashed knees. Hectic times indeed!
Riptide wishes Danny boy a hasty recovery and looks forward to seeing the photographs of all this charging bravado.
