Kingy's board shaper, Reon "Fish" Fisher dropped as a line today to let us know about Kingy's desire to chase the rest of the Tour this year. Here's what Fish had to say:
If you haven’t yet heard Damian King's back on the World Tour.
After a year away from the competition arena King has recharged the batteries and is ready to launch himself back into competition. “I really enjoyed having a year off and chasing swells doing the freesurf thing, but at the end of the day I'm super competitive and I felt like I was wasting time not being on Tour. I feel fit and ready to have a real crack at it now.”
After an equal ninth placing in the recent Peruvian Inka Challenge, King will now travel to Arica, Chile before heading onto Europe for another five events.
To hear about his recent car crash (don't worry, it wasn't serious) and many more updates from his time on the road head to Kingy's blog at iPRIME.
