Come meet some shredding Grandma's

A group of grandma's heading for a bodyboard

The above picture featured on the cover of the West Australian Newspaper on the 29/6/09.

The accompanying article, written by Georgia Loney, contains the following:

The surf's still up for Albany's Granny Grommets, whose members range in age from 50 to 75 as the celebrate 10 years since they first urged older women to don a wetsuit and hit the waves.

Every Friday morning at least 10 "hardcores" brave the weather and gather at Middleton Beach, grab their bodyboards and put younger wave-riders to shame.

Pretty cool to know that there are people getting their bodyboarding fix at 75.
