Chronicles of Nowhereabouts

From the clips creator, Porthleven lass Laura Newbury:

The first thing I have ever edited on Final Cut so it's pretty basic and not the best! Just some clips from my time in Australia this year.

Some things I learnt while I was there.
1. You can get sunburnt at 7am. Very sunburnt. And if your at D'bah it will only be one your left hand side, giving you a lovely phantom of the opera style tan line.

2. Mike Stewart will always make a barrel...always.

3. It is hard to run up sand dunes when they are the size of mountains.

4. Always make sure you know how to get the spare tyre off the car before you get a flat, otherwise it will take hours.

5. There are alot, and I mean alot, of mouses in the desert. Their favourite foods include bits of onion, eyebrows and Vans shoes.

6. Never ever discuss Wolf Creek when you are in the desert of South OZ, especially as you may drive past a house decorated in animal skulls, or meet a creepy old man as your collecting firewood two hours from the nearest anything.

7. If you get out of a truck to change drivers and go for a pee- always take your phone-incase the people your with don't realise your'e not in the back of the truck and drive off.

8. Green ants suck.fact.

9. Never buy a car named Ralph. no matter how much of a legend it is.

10. Beetroot tastes loads better in Australia.

Enjoy!

Zaldogg - the spot in Victoria is located west of Melbourne: we're not going to overexpose it anymore. Seriously, do not underestimate it. The list of injuries to people who have surfed here include broken pelvis, broken arms/legs, broken noses that have nearly been ripped off one guy's face, internal organ injuries. This wave will break or kill you if you are not experienced at reading waves and swell direction, and also if you are not fit to motor into the pit.

Simplicity is golden. Newton's wave at Luna's just made my day.
